Sign-in texts: consent disclosure

GXB LLC runs GXB Auth, the sign-in service at auth.gxb.vc. Some accounts can get a copy of their sign-in code by text message. The texts are optional, and the service works by email without them.

What we text

  • One-time codes to sign in. You still sign in with your email address.
  • One-time codes when you add or replace a phone number.

How often

  • We text only when a code was requested for your account. Repeated requests are rate-limited to protect against abuse.
  • No marketing texts.

What a text contains

The code, and our name.

Costs

We charge nothing for the texts. Message and data rates may apply. Check your phone plan for details.

Stopping the texts

The texts come from Twilio's service numbers on behalf of GXB Auth. The number can change from one text to the next. Replies to these numbers, including STOP and HELP, are not read by us and may not reach anyone.

To stop the texts, remove your phone number on your profile page. You confirm the removal by email. You do not need the old phone to remove it.

If we recorded a carrier block, adding the number again does not turn the texts back on. A START reply also does not restore consent in the app. Email us (see Support below) about a block.

Support

For help with sign-in texts, email christian@gxb.vc with the subject “GXB Auth SMS help”.

You can also remove your phone number yourself on your profile page at any time.
